Aligning With Planet Mars

The challenge I set myself last week was so successful, I'm doing it again - this time with a friend ...

If you missed my post last Friday, I finally got fed up with the voice inside my head telling me I'd lost the ability to write - so I decided to prove it wrong. You can read all about that challenge (and how it went) here

The day after the challege ended, while taking my pup out for his morning walk, I took some time to reflect on the whole experience.

And, somewhat unexpectedly ... I wanted to do it again!

I'm not entirely sure yet whether this is my brain helping me rediscover my love of writing, a very convenient proscratination technique to avoid the mountain of edits waiting for me and my own novel ... or a bit of both.

But, honestly? I'll take it 😂

This time, I wanted to make the challenge bigger  - so I brought in a close friend, editing client, and fellow writer, Aspen Mars.

Inspired by a conversation we'd had a few weeks earlier, we jumped on a call and decided to create a shared-world anthology together, built around one idea:

A realistic zombie apocalypse.

If you enjoy zombie films and TV shows and films, but often get frustrated when they spiral into increasingly unbelievable plotlines - with villains that make you roll your eyes and question the tenuous links between their pasts and their current actions) - then our this project might be for you 😉

And, who knows ... if the challege goes well, we might even co-write a novel to accompany the collection in the future.

Keep your eyes peeled for more news on my writing here and on my Instagram!
